Youth Conservation 2008 Youth Conserveration Day was held Saturday, August 23, 2008. Youth participated in supervised shooting sports (trap, sporting clays, archery, rifle, handguns, muzzle loading firearms) along with learning why conservation is so important for the future of wildlife.

September 9, 2006 Gopher Campfire was again proud to host YOUTH CONSERVATION
DAY. This year 90 future conservation members participated in supervised
shooting sports (trap, sporting clays, archery, rifle, handguns, muzzle
loading firearms) along with why conservation is so important for the
future of wildlife. This event could not be possible with out the large
group of volunteers from Gopher Campfire, Little Crow Archery Club,Buffalo
Lake Rod & Gun, Minnesota Deer Hunters, both Meeker and McLeod
County Pheasants Forever Chapters, Ducks Unlimited, and the Wild Turkey
Federation. We have started planning for the 2007 event to be held
on September 8th, anyone interested in helping can get in touch with
me as to the time of the next meeting at: Saturday, September 9, 2006
